The Electronics and Telecommunication department marks the beginning of the even semesters by organizing its mega branch fest ‘TECHTRONIX’, and in fact this year too, it turns out to be the same as the fest was well organized and executed on the 2nd and 3rd of February 2019, in the Sir Visveswaraya Auditorium.
The event started off with the inauguration ceremony in the presence of the esteemed Vice-Chancellor, Mr Atal Chaudhary which was then followed by an enlightening guest lecture, delivered by Sir Managobinda Mishra. It also witnessed two remarkable milestones, since the official department magazine and official website were released on day one. Apart from these, Mr.and Ms Fresher was also organized on the first day.
A number of technical events were organized on the second day of the fest, which included SMASH-D-BUG where teams were provided with a bugged circuit and they had to debug it as quick as possible. ELECTRO-MAZE was a fun interactive circuit designing event. In CIRCUIT PRO programs based on Multisim, MATLAB, VHDL, Verilog was given and a time limit of 1 hour was given to write the programs correctly, for a team of 2. Besides these, PAPYRUS, a paper presentation event, AUTOMATION, an automatic robotics event and PRO MASTERS, a fun gaming event, which included competition on popular games like Mini Militia, Counter-Strike and Pubg, were also conducted.
In the final leg of the event, the winners of the various competition were awarded a trophy and a certificate. Next up, the secretary of the department gave the vote of thanks. All of which were finally culminated by a grand lunch for all the professors as well as students.
Being one of the oldest departments in the college, the students of ETC never fail to impress us with their witty taglines on their official t-shirts. For this year it read “No resistance can drop our potential”, which in fact, they rightly proved it.
