The country of India is a land of cultures. Since ancient times, India has provided a safe haven for people around the world, which saw them pouring in from various countries spanning as far as Greece. This rich mix of races has made India what it is today: a land that celebrates every being in India as an Indian. Such diversity in the cultures and traditions of the citizens of our country has been integrated and unified by a very strong sense of patriotism for our motherland, and this unity in diversity is celebrated in the form of Rashtriya Ekta Diwas on the birth anniversary of Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, 31st of October. VSSUT, Burla celebrated this day in 2020 with “Rashtriya Ekta Samaroh,” a series of competitive events.

The event started at 10:30 am on Google Meet with the inauguration ceremony. The participants were given a time limit of 30-40 seconds to answer each question on a Google form. Once all the forms were submitted, the answers were presented and discussed by the quizmaster, which bought him a lot of applause for his set of amazing questions. After a gap of around fifteen minutes, the scores were evaluated and the results were announced. The winners were Shrutashraba Mishra with 17 points, Sonal Panda and Soumya Sutar with 16 points, Prajnakalpa Mishra with 15 points, and Tanmay Ranjan Behera with 14 points.

Following the quiz, an intra-college speech competition was organized by the Idea and Innovation Club (IIC). It was held virtually through Google Meet.
