WORKSHOP ON CLOUD COMPUTING BY DEPARTMENT OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY
To introduce the undergraduates to the fast morphing modern computing techniques, the Department of Information Technology organized a workshop on ‘Cloud Computing’ on the 8th of January under TEQIP -III. Cloud computing is an information technology paradigm that enables ubiquitous access to shared pools of configurable systems and higher-level services that can be rapidly provisioned with minimal management efforts. The distinguished guests from shared their knowledge and understanding on the topic with the students. The students were delighted to gain such interesting facts from the techno experts present in the room. The Professors from Department of Information Technology as well as from Department of Computer Science and Engineering presented talks on the topic and discussed future scope of improvement and research in the field. Cloud computing relies on sharing of resources to achieve coherence and economy of scale. With the sharing of ideas and experiences, the students learnt a lot of new and amazing things about this technology as well as had an idea about the behavioral skills, one must follow to excel professionally. We hope the department continues to conduct more such informative and interactive workshops which are instrumental to introduce new technologies in the techno hub of our esteemed institute.
WORKSHOP ON PROFESSIONAL SKILLS BY DEPARTMENT OF COMPUTER SCIENCE AND ENGINEERING
On the 14 January 2018, the event kick started with 1982 batch alumnus, Mr Natabar Sahu of Electrical Engineering Department, who delivered a piece on effective and efficient professional skills, that included some very useful tips on carrying oneself in an interview.
